Hello there, Happy Katana fans. Well, Disney Month is officially over. So, was it the massive success that I thought it would be? As the first themed month in Happy Katana history, did it live up to the hype? Was it as good as I expected?
I have a request of you, Disney: can you please, for the love of all that is decent and holy, stop making midquels? Here’s my one negative article of the month: how much I despise every midquel I’ve ever seen, particularly when you take movies from Disney’s golden age and try to rewrite them. Now, for anyone that isn’t aware, a midquel is a sequel that takes place during events shown off-screen of the original. Confusing? Here’s an example: Bambi. In the original Bambi, after his mother’s death, the scene cuts to spring and shows him fully grown. Bambi II shows us what happened in the winter after Bambi’s mother’s death, while being raised by his father and growing into a buck. There are very few redeeming factors in a midquel, and i’m going to explain why I hate them so much.
Here’s the most basic subject possible: my favorites. Plain and simple. These vary from classic to new, and have become timeless in my life. This excludes Pixar, Logan will have a separate list for that. In my eyes, Disney and Pixar are two very different companies. They’re both amazing, as far as I’m concerned, but I don’t feel like they belong in the same list together. So, let’s get started.
Hello there, Happy Katana fans. Today, I am going to rant about Disney Channel. Wait, criticizing Disney during Disney Month? What kind of asshole does that? This kind of asshole does that, so get over it, shitheads!
I apologize. That was not necessary whatsoever. So please forgive me and read this article. Please? Thank you, I thought you’d understand.
Hello there, Happy Katana fans. The wait is finally over. Starting today, Happy Katana is going to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Disney. We’re going to have reviews, countdowns, and much, much more. While every other site is going to have a single post dedicated to Disney’s 90th anniversary, we decided to dedicate a whole. After all, Disney has provided generations of fans with nine decades worth of entertainment and magic, so what’s 31 days to us? So sit back, relax, and get ready for the ultimate Disney tribute.
If you follow Happy Katana on Facebook, you have probably seen the post hinting at a huge project we have planned for October. With only one month away, we are finally unveiling it: Disney Month. In honor of Walt Disney’s 90th Anniversary, October will be entirely dedicated to Disney-themed articles, reviews, countdowns, and anything else we can come up with. This will be a huge month (perhaps the busiest so far) for Happy Katana, with at least seven or eight articles planned, and we’re excited to bring it to you.
